Whatever Happened to the Cast of Living Single?
Forget Friends: Living Single was the show to watch in the 90’s. The FOX sitcom about professional African-American women who lived together was a smart, funny look at the fun of Black single life. Wonder whatever happened to the hilarious cast? Here’s what they’re up to now.

Queen Latifah
Queen Latifah was already a hip-hop legend when she played Flavor magazine’s workaholic publisher Khadijah James. Living Single catapulted her to superstardom that led to an Oscar-nominated role in Chicago and voiceover roles in hit movies like Ice Age. Latifah also produces successful TV shows through her Flavor Unit production company like Lifetime’s The Rap Game.

Kim Fields
Kim Fields was everyone’s favorite fashionable diva. Fields was the high-maintenance roommate Regine Hunter, who gave smooches and shade on Living Single. Since the show ended, she became a busy director of shows like Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns and settled down with her husband,Chris, and two sons. Fields is back in front of the camera on The Real Housewives of Atlanta and competed on Dancing with the Stars.

Kim Coles
Kim Coles was the lovable and ditsy Synclaire James, Khadijah’s cousin, on Living Single. Since then, she’s performed stand-up comedy, become a motivational speaker, and recently married Reggie McIver.

Erika Alexander
Erika Alexander was the driven and aggressive neighbor Maxine Shaw, attorney at law. After Living Single wrapped, Alexander created a science-fiction graphic novel with her husband Tony Puryear, Concrete Park. Alexander still acts, most recently appearing on Queen Sugar.

John Henton
John Henton was the folksy neighbor handyman and Synclaire’s husband Overton on Living Single. Since the show ended, he starred on The Hughleys with D. L. Hughley.  Henton was riding high on success until a drunk driving accident broke Henton’s eye sockets, teeth, and legs in 2000. After having reconstructive surgery on his face, Henton bounced back and is now performing stand-up.

T.C. Carson
T.C. Carson was the powerful stockbroker who was Overton’s roommate  ( and Max’s on-again, off-again love) on Living Single. He now does commercials and brings his smooth baritone voice to do voiceover work in videogames like Star Wars.
