‘LHH: Hollywood’ To Undergo Changes After Half The Cast Has Reportedly Been Fired

Is it the end of Love & Hip Hop Hollywood as we know it?

Because it is reportedly undergoing some major changes for its next season.

After news broke that the VH1 series is doing away with its current production company, Eastern TV, sources are now whispering that there may be some casting switch-ups too.

Apparently, main cast members will only consist of folks who are in relationships, making it more like Bravo’s “Housewives” franchises.

A top executive at VH1 reportedly told MTO News, "We're trying to make L&HH Hollywood more about couples and relationships. Still drama, but more couple based drama."

Therefore Teairra Mari and Nikki Mudarris were reportedly let go from their LHHH contracts after the Reunion show.

Ray J & Princess Love, A1 Bentley & Lyrica Anderson, and Brooke Valentine & Marcus Black are all being asked to return. Interesting enough, Paris Phillips and Rockstar will return as “Friends of the show” next season.

So that leaves Moniece Slaughter, K. Michelle and Safaree Samuels right?

Well, they are NOT fired as they’ll be shifted to different shows in the LHH franchise. Safaree will continue to stay on Love & Hip Hop: New York while Moniece moved to Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta as we'll also see K. Michelle on the Atlanta spin-off at some point this season.

A few months ago, Deadline alleged that VH1 is pulling Eastern TV from producing LHHH. However, the company will continue to work on other “Love and Hip Hop” franchises, including, Love and Hip Hop: New York, Love and Hip Hop: Miami and Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta. (Plus, all the LHH shows will retain creator Mona Scott-Young as an executive producer on the show through her Monami Entertainment company.)

Interesting. Former star, Masika Kalysha, once vented about perceived slights from the behind-the-scenes staff. She explained why she left, noting, “Anything that was positive or family oriented was taken away and replaced with things that weren’t going on in my everyday life so that was my final straw."

TSR Staff: Kyle Anfernee Instagram: @Kyle.Anfernee Okay #Roommates, most of y’all know Masika won’t be returning to “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” this season, but sis got on IG Live with me to spill the real tea about why she chose to walk away. She also opened up about her past as a video vixen girl and how they helped shape hip hop. Masika said her decision to leave #LHH wasn’t a mutual decision, but thanks to a good lawyer, she was able to get out of her contract and join the cast of #GUHH.
More recently, Lyrica bashed the prior production team, writing, “I hate when ppl play wit me. I will black out on a b[expletive]!!! This how so f[expletive] disrespectful!!! N these fake [expletive] edits!! I def do nottttt see me coming back to this show!!!”

“Everyone lies n plays u for a storyline even the workers!!! That's why I’m blacked out this season!! So much [expletive] that's not shown how really goes down n I’m tired of the disrespect! Of course my 1st time experiencing this with the franchise but I’m done now that I’m aware!!”

To be fair though, she has not been cast in a flattering light at all, no?

Okay, so how does this make you feel about the future of the show? Hopeful? Concerned?
