Nick Gordon, the man many believe contributed to Bobbi Kristina Brown's death, has been arrested in Florida for domestic violence.
Gordon was taken into custody by the Seminole County Sheriff's Office in the early hours of Saturday morning following an incident with his girlfriend Laura Leal.
Police officers were called to Gordon's home for a possible disturbance and found 26-year-old Leal with a bloody and swollen bottom lip, according to the arrest report.
Leal told authorities she had picked the 28-year-old up from a bar and was driving him home when he punched her in her right cheek several times and pulled her hair.
Gordon was previously arrested for allegedly kidnapping and beating his girlfriend for six hours in June last year.
Leal later decided to withdraw the charges following his arrest and petitioned the judge to have the case dismissed in August.
In October, the couple revealed that they had reconciled and Leal claimed she had been the aggressor in the incident.
Gordon found Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's daughter and his then-girlfriend, Bobbi Kristina, unresponsive and face down in a bathtub three years ago after a night of partying and arguing.
Brown passed away on July 26, 2015, less than three years after her mother's death.
Bobbi Kristina's autopsy revealed she had marijuana, alcohol, a cocaine-related substance, anxiety medication, and morphine in her system at the time. Her death was ruled as 'undetermined' due to being unable to tell if the incident was intentional or accidental.
Gordon was held legally accountable for Bobbi Kristina's death in 2015 after he didn't show up for a court hearing in the $36 million civil suit brought against him by her estate.
Bobby's legal team released a statement following Gordon’s latest arrest.
Attorney Christopher Brown said, "We have been informed that Nick Gordon was arrested for domestic violence of Laura Leal in Florida yesterday. We would like to speak to Ms. Leal and offer her services through the Bobbi Kristina Brown Serenity House, a non for profit organization designed to assist women who have been victims of domestic violence."
Today would have been the 25th birthday of Bobbi-Kristina Brown. May the young soul RIP. #bobbikristina #bobbybrown #whitneyhouston #rip
Bobby also commented on Gordon’s recent charges, stating, "Domestic violence killed my daughter and on March 4, 2018, the Bobbi Kristina Brown Serenity House held our first event to strike back at domestic violence. I personally would like to extend my hand to Ms. Leal and offer her services through our organization. I do not want to see any more families destroyed at the hands of domestic violence and I do not want any more women to suffer like my daughter did."
Nick's domestic violence arrest on Saturday comes less than two weeks after Bobby stated he wanted to see him locked up and 'raped'.
Brown told Rolling Stone that the wrongful death lawsuit wasn't enough and he wanted to see Gordon punished.
Bobby stated, "He's still walking around free. If he was locked up somewhere where somebody can rape him, that's just how I feel. He raped me by taking my daughter away."
