There have been rumors swirling that one of the panelists from The Real will be getting the boot.
MTO News is reporting the production team of the Emmy winning daytime show wants to do another cast shake up, two years after Tamar Braxton’s controversial firing.
According to the gossip site, they want to add “Conservative voice” (a.k.a. White person) to the panel of women.
The current co-hosts of The Real include African American's - Love and Tamera Mowry-Housley, along with Asian-American, Jeannie Mai, and a Latina, Adrienne Bailon-Houghton.
A person close to production told MTO News, "The show's ratings have been slipping and [producers] are going to try and shake things up."
So who’s the cast member that allegedly on chopping block, you ask? Tamera Mowry-Housely.
According to the gossip site, Tamera Mowry-Housely is viewed as the “nice girl” on the team and that “nice girl” factor is why she’s allegedly the person the production team wants to replace.
The insider allegedly told MTO News that producers feel that all the other women on the show are "very opinionated" and that they would play well in the shows new "debate" format with the “Conservative voice”.
"Everyone on the cast is a liberal democrat, so there's rarely any political or social debates. [Producers] want a friendly debate," the source also shared.
The site with went out to say that while no final decisions have been made with the cast, insiders believe Tamera will be the odd person out.
Maybe this report might explain what Mowry-Housely has been more “aggressive” since the new season of The Real started back.
The 40-year-old mom of two addressed assumptions her husband (Adam Housley) is racist because of his prior job at Fox News.
The network hired Housley as a Los Angeles-based reporter in 2001, but he left last month, according to Politico.
"There are certain people that think my husband [Adam Housley] is racist because he worked for a certain channel," Tia began. “I am going to look in that camera right there and let everybody know my husband is not a racist”.
Tamera wed Adam in May of 2011 in California, after dating for almost six years. The couple welcomed their first child, a son named Aden John Tanner Housley, on November 12, 2012. Tia gave birth to a daughter, Ariah Talea Houseley in July 2015.
After tackling those who claim that her husband is a racist earlier this week, Tamera just clashed with The Real co-host Jeannie Mai over Bert and Ernie of Sesame Street.
The tension was kicked up as the hosts were discussing the news that a former Sesame Street writer confirmed that classic characters Bert and Ernie were “a loving couple,” not just roommates, while the Sesame Workshop responded by saying, “Bert and Ernie are best friend.
For whatever reason, The Real didn’t share that segment on YouTube (as they do most segments), but clips are floating around the Internet, of course.
Let me just say how much I love Tamera! She was ready to pop all the way off 😭✋🏾 @tameramowrytwo #tameramowry #thereal #therealdaytime #jeanniemai
Not to worry though, Tamera and Jeannie were totally fine and friendly on the next episode.
What do you think of Tamera reportedly being on the chopping block of The Real?
