Her strained relationship with her sisters has been well-documented on Braxton Family Values.
Well, the reality star bunch recently enlisted the help of infamous life coach Iyanla Vanzant to facilitate some sort of resolution among them, but that did not end up working out well at all, it seems.
It turns out Vanzant, who is known for her intriguing methods on making people confront how their past affects their present, and everything in between, did more harm than help.
After the taping with Iyanla, Tamar, with help of her friend, called her out on social media as they referred to Iyanla as “the Devil” and by her government name Rhonda.
During her appearance on The Wendy Williams Show on Thursday morning, Tamar addressed rumors that she had stormed away from the chat with Iyanla.
And, yup, it’s totally true. Can’t blame her though, really…
“A lot of things happened in my childhood that I was too afraid to talk about," Tamar explained. "The truth of the matter is I have been molested by both sides of my family and it’s nothing I ever talked about and nothing I ever thought that I would sit around the table with Iyanla who’s here to talk about me and my sisters and their problems and to bring that up and shamed me basically in front of everybody. So, that’s why I got up and walked out.”
The highly-anticipated episode, which will show the ladies' counseling session with Iyanla, is scheduled to wrap up the currently airing season of Braxton Family Values.
Speaking of that, I think we can all agree that Season 6 of BFV has been a mess.
As we previously reported
, WE tv and the Production team of the show were left scrambling after all of Tamar, Toni, Tawanda, Trina and Mama Evelyn walked off the set until their contracts were re-negotiated at the end of June. Apparently, their wardrobe and travel funds are incredibly low and their pay needs to be raised to an "acceptable" level.
Traci opted to stick around for the check as she continued to film amid the family walk out. To keep the cameras rolling, Traci and BFV producers approached former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks to co-star as Kim Whitley, Tiffany ‘New York’ Pollard and Flava Flav filmed guest appearances as well.
As expected, Traci actions to keep the show afloat puzzled many, including her relatives, who understandably seem to be quite mad about this move.
It led to Trina, Towanda and Tamar later shading Phaedra for being a “Fake Braxton” in an Instagram video.
#PressPlay: Oop! #TamarBraxton throws some not so subtle shade at #PhaedraParks after it was reported that she will be on #BraxtonFamilyValues 👀
Sincerely hope that the Braxton women can sort through all the drama and come together.

Anyway, Tamar also talked about the status of her relationship with her estranged husband, Vincent. Oh and she has a new boyfriend. Awww!

Upon being pressed for more details, she dished, “I met him at a friend’s birthday party, thank you God, he’s so fine! I can’t take it sometimes. It’s like a whole snack — a Lunchable! He lives in L.A., he’s originally from Nigeria, but he lived here for a while.”
The two-part Season finale of Braxton Family Values with Iyanla Vanzant airs on Thursday, Sept, 27 and Thursday, Oct. 4 at 9 p.m. on WE tv.
